His recent portrayal of Mengo in “Fuente Ovejuna,” directed by Mariano Paco Serrano, received critical praise both in New York and on tour in Spain. He is currently starring in “Eva Luna” at Repertorio Español and will soon tour Spain with Teatro Círculo in “La Monja Alférez.” His acting accolades include the Talia NYC Award for Best Co-Lead (2023), the Latin ACE Award for Best Actor (2015), and the HOLA Award for Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor (2014).

“The most compelling story belongs to Mario and Julia, who meet surreptitiously in cafes and cinemas to flirt and discuss films and literature. Mr. Andrade’s Mario is an articulate, at times petulant intellectual inclined to quote Plutarch”

The New York Times

United States of America

“Unfurling with a respectable amount of movement on a bare stage, with floor markings indicating the elevator footprint, director Pablo Andrade’s production benefits from Owen’s poised stage presence and persuasive acting”

The Washington Post

United States of America

“On stage Marito is played by the Venezuelan actor Pablo Andrade, and down in the theatre chairs is the real Marito (Mario Vargas Llosa) who at the age of 18 was also, for his relatives, a teat boy who had to take care of all temptations.”

El Pais

Spain

“Pablo Andrade: “Theater has helped me overcome my shyness” The actor tells us all about his work on international stages while posing for an exclusive photoshoot in Manhattan.”
